Música Franklin has many volunteer opportunities to directly support our programming. Whether as a classroom assistant, an extra adult presence during snack, or a single-event helper, we'd love to invite your involvement! All volunteers working directly with our students must be properly vetted with background checks and adhere to our values and guidelines for positive interaction.

Practice Buddies Program
Música Franklin invites adult musicians to join our 1:1 Practice Buddies mentorship program. Having a caring adult who takes an interest in their musicianship helps motivate our students and advance their skill level. The program is simple: once a week, the student and practice buddy will meet for 15 minutes over Zoom or FaceTime for the practice buddy to watch and listen to the student’s progress.
Música Franklin will provide a list of musicianship benchmark questions that the student is working to achieve, and the buddy will ask the student how they feel they are progressing and offer positive feedback on the student’s strengths. We hope this program will develop meaningful, fulfilling, and long-lasting relationships between students and mentors.
